In two studies, students who formulated their prior study resource usage strategies improved performance compared to their matched classmates in the comparison groups by one-third the grade point difference of a letter grade within a grade. In the first study, students scored 3.45 percentage points higher on average in class, while the second study showed an average difference of 4.65 percentage points.
